Officers
President for Healthcare: Nicole DiVita is an Ophthalmic Technical Professional at UVM Medical Center and also serves as the President of Vermont Federation of Nurses & Health Professionals. Previous to becoming a Certified Ophthalmic Technician, she earned her Bachelor’s degree at SUNY Plattsburgh. A resident of Milton, she lives with her partner, two children and beloved dog, Cooper.
President for Higher Education: Sebastion Lury (he/him) is a Student Success Advisor at Vermont State University’s Castleton campus, where he also serves as Co-President of Vermont State Colleges United Professionals. A resident of Mendon, he is happily married to an associate nurse manager and clinical instructor. He is a proud alum of both CCV and VTSU and holds both a Masters in Business Administration and in English: Creative Writing.
Vice President for Healthcare: Melissa Lavallee is an admin/ financial assistant UVM Medical Center and a member of UVMMC Support Staff United. She is a resident of Fairfax.
Vice President for Higher Education: Katherine Elmer is is a part-time faculty member at UVM and VTSU-Johnson and serves as the part-time faculty representative to United Academics. She is also a clinical health coach at the UVM Health Comprehensive Pain Program in South Burlington.
Secretary-Treasurer: Glenn Miga is an Emergency Response Nurse at the University of Vermont Medical Center and Chief Steward for VFNHP. He lives in Burlington, Vermont with his wife Kelsey and their two dogs Freya and Daphne.
